In this role, you will support the Registered Manager in all aspects of home management, taking the lead on shift to delegate tasks and ensure that all records and care plans meet high standards. You'll lead care planning, reviews, and ensure compliance with Children's Home Regulations. As a mentor and guide, you'll promote effective teamwork while managing staff inductions, supervisions, and appraisals. You will champion our young people by supporting their choices, encouraging independence, and responding to challenges with compassion and confidence. Additionally, you'll liaise with professionals and agencies to provide holistic support, manage on-call duties, and consistently uphold company policies.
Responsibilities
- Lead shift to delegate tasks and ensure records and care plans meet high standards
- Lead care planning, reviews, and ensure compliance with Children's Home Regulations
- Mentor and guide the team; manage staff inductions, supervisions, and appraisals
- Champion young people by supporting choices, encouraging independence, and responding to challenges with compassion
- Liaise with professionals and agencies to provide holistic support
- Manage on-call duties; uphold company policies
- Support the day-to-day running of the home and lead in the Registered Manager's absence
- Ensure high-quality care and support positive outcomes for every young person in care
Qualifications
- Level 3 or 4 qualification in Children & Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children & Young People's Workforce or equivalent
- 2 years' experience in a senior role within a children's residential setting
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence

Location: Tarleton, Lancashire | Pay: £15.50/hr + £60 sleep-in | Shifts: 2 on / 4 off
