Wernick Hire, the UK's largest and longest standing National provider of permanent and temporary modular buildings and site accommodation, is looking for a talented individual to join their team as a Forklift Truck Driver and Yard Operative at one of our depots in Leeds. Established since 1934, The Wernick Group continues to be a family run and owned company with a long history and a commitment to growth and development. This role is part of a team that supports the delivery and servicing of Groundhog units and modular site accommodations.
Responsibilities:
- Moving units in the yard with FLT
- Servicing of Groundhog units
- Occasional assisting in cleaning units
- Maintaining the forklift truck in good and serviceable condition
- Minimise material wastage
- Ensuring safe loading and unloading of cabins / buildings and materials
- Maintain good housekeeping in the yard and workshop at all times
Requirements / Qualifications:
- FLT license is essential (experience with a counterbalance 10t FLT is advantageous)
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle a busy workload
- Enthusiastic team player with a commitment to first-class customer service
- Mechanical background desirable; training will be provided to the right candidate
- Able to multi-task and prioritise a busy workload
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work effectively under pressure
- Display integrity in all interactions
- Willingness to learn and attend courses for qualifications required
- Desire for continuous improvement and professional development
- Ideally experience using a 10t Counterbalance FLT (desirable)
