About the role

To run and supervise any kitchen section to required standards

Prepare, cook, and present food, quickly and efficiently, meeting company standards

Support head chef in delivering high standard of food

Delegate jobs to junior chefs and support them in their development

Assist in keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic, and tidy, at all times

To understand and have a working knowledge of all current Health and Safety and food safety legislation

Work safely around kitchen equipment and monitor and report any maintenance issues

Manage food wastage through correct procedures

Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training

Always adhere to all company policies and procedures

Be involved and contribute at team meetings

Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef and hotel management

Required Criteria
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- have the right to work in UK
- Min 1 years experience in a busy kitchen environment
- good communication skills both verbal and written
- teamplayer who copes well under pressure
- NVQ level 2 in cookery
Desired Criteria
- 6 months experience in a similar position
