About The Role As a Purchaser, you will ensure the smooth flow of materials and services, work with suppliers, secure deals, maintain stock, and support production targets. Key Responsibilities Raise purchase orders and manage product codes Source and select new suppliers Negotiate rates with suppliers and contractors Track deliveries and verify goods received Liaise with suppliers on quotes, lead times, and deliveries Generate financial and stock reports Support stock takes and FSC audits Improve purchasing processes Provide cover for the Senior Purchaser when needed Essential Requirements Experience in procurement or purchasing Proficiency with electronic purchasing and costing systems like ERP Attention to detail and ability to work independently Professional, friendly, and supportive attitude Proactive and critical thinking skills Approachable and team-oriented Desirable Requirements Strong planning and negotiation skills Qualifications in procurement or supply chain What You Will Get In Return Competitive salary and bonus Holiday allowance (rising with service) Option to buy/sell holidays Christmas shutdown, early finish Fridays, cycle scheme, pension, life assurance, accident insurance, onsite parking, employee assistance, training, progression, and more We are an equal opportunities employer.
