Hours: Monday – Thursday 4.00pm – 2:00am (4-day work week)
Reports to: Maintenance and Masa Supervisor
Hourly Rate: £13.69, plus shift allowance

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operating production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Supporting dry side operations and completing mould changes.
- Identifying and reporting faults quickly.
- Keeping machines and work areas clean.
- Operating a forklift (if licensed).
- Helping with general tasks like quality checks, strapping, and wrapping.

Key Responsibilities:
- Gain operational knowledge and be proficient in operation of the dry side area.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to continuously improve dry side operations.
- Carry out mould changes on brick and paving production equipment.
- Accurately set up, secure, and align moulds to guarantee product quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to resolve any issues during mould changeover.
- Address faults as they arise, escalating significant issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Perform regular cleaning of equipment and machinery.
- Operate forklifts as required, provided the appropriate license is held.
- Ensure that workplace cleanliness is maintained and adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols.
- Take personal responsibility for your own well-being and promptly report any concerns.
- Proactively seek and suggest ideas for improvement.
- Any other duties as required by management that are within your capability.
Required Criteria:
- Medically fit to undertake the physical requirements of the job.
- Previous experience as a machine operator.
- Previous experience working in a busy production environment.
- Ability to meet production targets.
- Adherence and appreciation for H&S and general housekeeping standards.
- High level of verbal/written English.
- Ability to work quickly to meet production deadlines.
- Experience of effective communication to team members.
- Good observational skills to spot defective products.
- Patience to carry out repetitive tasks.
- Available to respond to production problems outside normal hours.
- Flexible approach to work required, willingness to retrain and learn new skills.
