Paint Shop Team Lead
Main purpose of the job .
Overseeing the paint shop’s performance of tasks, supporting management/supervisors and ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to.

- Key duties and responsibilities
- Co-ordinate all ‘paint shop’ operations – including loading and unloading of parts, to meet the demands of a busy production schedule.
- Lead and manage a small team of Paint shop Operatives to meet production targets.
- Coach employees to ensure continuous improvement producing high quality workmanship.
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures including health and safety and encouraging safe working practices at all times.
- Ensure all employees within your team adhere to all policies and procedures and PPE compliance.
- Ensure employees are performing any given task in a timely manner to meet machine target hours.
- Review and sign of time sheets for your area ensuring all timesheets are completed at the end of each shift.
- Work with cross functional team to ensure continuous improvement to reach target machine labour hours.
- Ensure all regular servicing and maintenance operations are completed and documented
- Coordinate set down locations for completed painted parts and upkeep of main yard

- Experience of Operating a Forklift
- Ability to lead a team
- Good organisational Skills
- Strong technical background, and ability to work in an ever-changing and dynamic manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing, and the ability to work with cross functional teams for driving improvements in the area
- Proficient in the use of IT Systems and Microsoft office applications such as Excel
- Understanding of ERP Systems
