Wernick Hire, the UK’s largest and longest standing National provider of permanent and temporary modular buildings and site accommodation, is looking for a talented individual to join their team as a Mobile Service Engineer. Join our dynamic Hire Team, to assist in maintaining our range of units and attending customer sites to establish faults and repair.

About the role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Duties can range from maintaining our range of Cabin, Modular and welfare fleet mechanically and electrically to fixing plumbing in canteens and toilet blocks.
  • Replacing door handles and all aspects of joinery work including replacing wall and ceiling boards, fitting and easing of internal doors, partition walls and roof repairs.
  • Some on-site installation and dismantle works will make up part of the job role, including erecting or dismantling staircases and link units.
  • The role will require filling out any necessary paperwork and advising customers if call-outs are chargeable, which you would receive the necessary training.

About You:

  • This is a client-facing role, so a helpful and professional individual is required.
  • This position would suit an all-rounder who can turn their hand to most jobs.
  • The ideal candidate will be adaptable and organised with a keen attitude.
  • Must be self-motivated with good DIY skills and the ability to work in a team or on own initiative.
  • Multiple visits will need to be carried out within a day so a 'fix it first time' approach is necessary for the successful candidate.
  • Experience in site accommodation hire, installation and maintenance would be extremely beneficial to this role.
