As one of the areas finest restaurants, Vespers is located in the luxurious settings of the five-star Culloden Estate & Spa. Winner of Good Food Ireland’s Food Lover’s Choice Award 2024, Vespers offers a gastronomic journey through Northern Ireland’s finest produce. Under the direction of our talented culinary team, we source the finest local and seasonal produce to create an exquisite array of contemporary Irish dishes, each with a unique Vespers twist.
Under the inspiring leadership of our Restaurant Manager, Robyn Cole, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality. Find out more about why our people love working for Hastings Hotels here.
You can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out of seven including weekends, and be flexible to cover breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening dinner service.

About the role
To be responsible for serving food and beverages for the greatest enjoyment of our guests.
- To maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the service areas according to Hastings Standards.
- To serve food and beverages to guests ensuring the highest standard of service and that all guest needs and expectations are met. Typical tasks include clearing and setting tables, taking orders, serving food and beverages and taking payments.
- To ensure all cash, charges, floats and till procedures are carried out correctly.
- Greeting guests and responding to their queries.
- To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.
- To always maintain the security of stock areas, immediately reporting any breaches.
- To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
- To ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
- To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
- To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as required by management.
