This is a great opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking Cook to enhance their career leading the catering team.

We are looking for an individual that will be passionate about food and understand the importance of the home using fresh ingredients to provide the highest quality of food and beverages to our residents.

About the role

As the Cook it will be your responsibility to plan, order supplies, prepare and present high quality food and hospitality for our residents.

Working to the highest of standards, ensuring dietary requirements of all the residents are met.

We provide a mixture of modified diets and cater for all dietary requirements across the Home.

Choice will always be provided with thought given to individual and cultural preferences.

You will

  • Provide appetising and nutritious meals for our residents, in line with the company menu and individual preferences.
  • Ensure all food preparation meets the requirements of COSHH, Food safety and health & safety regulations
  • Manage food budgets and stocks, place food orders.
  • Check deliveries as required and place them in the appropriate storage areas.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in all areas of the kitchen.
  • Overall kitchen staff management, training, recruiting and rota.
  • Working

36 hours per week , on a full rotational shift pattern from Monday to Sunday.

Requirements

  • Level 2 in Food Safety
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role

Full training and support is provided to ensure that a high standard of catering is maintained at all times.
