Hastings Hotels is a family owned, luxury hotel group based in Northern Ireland and we are opening a new venue in the heart of Great Victoria Street in Belfast City Centre - The Halt. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic person to become part of our team opening The Halt. You will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality. The successful candidate can expect to work a variety of shifts ranging from afternoons and evenings, both through the week and especially at weekends.
About the role:
- To ensure that all areas of the Halt are cleaned and presented to the Hastings Standard for the greatest enjoyment of our guests.
- To clean and service all areas including bathrooms. Typical tasks include vacuuming, mopping and cleaning toilets.
- To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.
- To always maintain the security of restrooms, public areas and stock, immediately reporting any breaches and dealing with lost property in accordance with company procedures.
- To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
- To be knowledgeable about the Halt offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.
- To ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
- To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as required by management.
About You:
We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Housekeeping Team will provide you with full training.
Required Criteria:
- Right to Work in the United Kingdom
- Good Command of English Language
- Must have good communication skills and a clean and tidy appearance.
- Must be educated to GCSE standard or the equivalent with grades A-C in English and Maths.
