Job Title: IT Infrastructure Engineer

Reporting To: Group IT Manager

Location: Dromore, Co. Tyrone

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8.30am-5.30pm and Fridays 8am-4:15pm

The ideal candidate will have experience in IT infrastructure support, with a good understanding of servers, networks, Microsoft technologies and security systems. They will be a practical problem solver with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, strong project management skills, a willingness to learn and the ability to work effectively as part of a global IT team.

Key Activities:

• Provide day-to-day technical support to the Group IT Manager and wider IT team across global operations.

• Assist with the implementation and support of technical infrastructure projects, including on premise virtual servers and cloud solutions including Azure.

• Provide technical and operational support for the VMware hosting platform across global sites.

• Support and maintain Windows Server environments, including Domain Controllers, Microsoft 365, SQL, CRM, SharePoint, Ericom, Datto Backups and IIS.

• Assist with Firewall, site-to-site VPN, internet and wireless network configuration and troubleshooting.

• Support the maintenance and development of LAN/WAN infrastructure and security controls, including antivirus & SOC solutions.

• Assist with network monitoring, troubleshooting and the implementation of improvements and upgrades.

• Provide operational support for disaster recovery, backup, replication and recovery systems.

• Provide technical support for Windows 11, Linux and end-user devices.

• Support company hardware including PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, projectors, mobile devices, audio/visual equipment and Wi-Fi.

• Provide support for non-Microsoft and web-based applications.

• Assist with the management and maintenance of the company's VoIP telecommunications systems.

• Provide technical support during auctions and assist with the IT requirements of auction operations.

• Provide day-to-day support through the IT service desk, ensuring issues are logged, investigated and resolved or escalated as appropriate.

• Assist with IT asset management, system maintenance, documentation and general infrastructure administration.

• Work closely with the wider IT team to maintain reliable, secure and efficient IT services across the Group.

The Requirements

Essential Criteria:

• 3+ years’ experience in an IT Infrastructure, Systems Administration, Infrastructure Engineer or similar technical role.

• Practical experience supporting Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Domain Controllers.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft technologies.

• Experience supporting and troubleshooting LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.

• Understanding of Firewalls, VPNs and network security/SOC.

• Experience providing technical support across hardware, software and end-user devices.

• Experience with backup, disaster recovery and system recovery processes.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

• Ability to manage and prioritise multiple support requests and elevate complex issues appropriately.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users.

• Full UK driving licence, or equivalent, if travel between sites is required.

• Willingness to work occasional additional hours to support auction operations and critical IT requirements, where required.
