About the role

What will you be doing?

You’ll be hands‑on, leading from the front and making sure our residents receive the very best care every day.

Your role will include:

  • Delivering person‑centred care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing.
  • Leading, supporting and motivating the care team throughout each shift.
  • Being a positive role model and helping colleagues maintain high standards of care.
  • Administering medication safely and in line with policies and procedures.
  • Completing and reviewing residents’ care plans, ensuring they reflect their individual needs.
  • Making sure care records and documentation are accurate, complete and up to date.
  • Monitoring residents’ health and wellbeing and responding appropriately to changes in need.
  • Working closely with GPs, healthcare professionals, Support Managers and families where appropriate.
  • Supporting the induction, training and development of new team members.
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and ensuring important information is shared.
  • Helping create a positive, supportive environment where residents and colleagues can thrive.

Required Criteria

  • Do you hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in Health & Social Care?
  • Do you have previous experience working in a care setting, supporting older people or people with care and support needs?
  • Do you have experience of supervising, supporting or leading other members of a care team?
  • Do you have experience administering medication safely and in accordance with policies and procedures?
  • Do you have experience completing and reviewing person‑centred care plans and maintaining accurate care records?
  • Are you able to work 8:00am–8:00pm, 3–4 shifts per week, including alternate weekends, and are you committed to delivering compassionate, person‑centred care?
