Highly Experienced Support Worker β Rapid Response Team
Hours: 36β48 hours per week β shift work including days, nights and weekends
Pay: Β£20.00 per hour
Location: Various locations β travel required
Travel: Up to 100 miles when required
Mileage: 32p per mile after the first 20 miles
MUVE Healthcare is looking for highly experienced Support Workers to join our specialist Rapid Response Team.
This is a full-time, shift-based role, working 36β48 hours per week across days, nights and weekends.
This is not a standard Support Worker position. You will be part of a highly skilled team responsible for mobilising new complex care packages and stabilising existing services supporting young people aged 14+ with complex needs and behaviours that challenge.
The young people you support may have Learning Disabilities, Autism, ADHD and other complex needs, and may present with significant behaviours that challenge.
You must be willing and able to travel at short notice to support new package mobilisations and service stabilisation. This may involve travelling up to 100 miles from your home location when required.
About the role
What You'll Do
- Support the mobilisation of new and emergency care packages for young people.
- Provide direct support to young people aged 14+ with complex needs and behaviours that challenge.
- Confidently support young people who may present with physical aggression, property damage, absconding, self-harm and other high-risk behaviours.
- Work closely with our internal MDT to ensure safe mobilisation and ongoing stability.
- Help stabilise existing care packages and reduce risks.
- Promote Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and trauma-informed practice.
- Build positive relationships with young people while maintaining clear and appropriate professional boundaries.
- Support young people to access their communities and achieve personal goals.
- Complete accurate care records, incident reports and support documentation.
- Work flexibly across different services and locations.
- Work a range of shifts, including days, nights and weekends.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 3 years' demonstrable experience within complex care/support environments.
- Substantial hands-on experience supporting young people aged 14+ with complex needs and behaviours that challenge.
- Experience within children's residential care, residential placements or specialist services supporting young people.
- Experience confidently managing significant behaviours that challenge, which may include physical aggression, property damage, absconding and self-harm.
- Relevant experience must be clearly evidenced throughout your CV.
- Current PMVA physical intervention training.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Access to your own vehicle.
- Business use motor insurance.
- Willingness to travel up to 100 miles from your home location at short notice.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and Positive Behaviour Support.
- Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends on a rota basis.

Required Criteria
