About the role
As our Finance Administrator, you’ll support the day-to-day financial and administrative running of the care home. Working closely with the Home Manager, care home team and Head Office, you’ll help ensure our financial records are accurate, up to date and well organised.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting all aspects of Finance administration, including processing invoices, preparing reports and banking weekly cash/cheque deposits
- Assisting the Home Manager to ensure all necessary financial records are maintained and up to date, with a clear audit trail
- Completing general Finance administration, including ordering items for the care home and updating resident funding information
- Maintaining Finance Excel trackers and working closely with the Head Office team
- Processing resident admissions and discharges
- Managing petty cash, resident TV licences, filing and archiving
- Meeting with relatives and providing support with relevant financial administration
- Carrying out other administrative duties to support the smooth running of the home
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and confident working with numbers and financial information.
You’ll need:
- Previous experience in an administrative role, including experience within Finance
- Good knowledge of office administration
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Strong communication and IT skills
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- A flexible, positive and proactive approach
- The right to live and work in the UK
Previous experience working in a care home environment is desirable but not essential.

Required Criteria
- Previous experience in HR and/or Finance administration is essential to be considered
- Experience of working in a care home is preferable
- Strong IT skills and the ability to work competently with all Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Well organised with the ability to multi task
