An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Research and Innovation Team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust as a Research Nurse. Please note that, for this role, all applicants are required to hold current NMC registration. As a key member of our Clinical Research Facility (CRF) Team, you will help deliver a diverse and expanding portfolio of research studies. These range from early-phase trials to complex multi-centre studies, offering children and young people access to innovative and potentially life‑changing treatments.

About You

  • Degree or Diploma Level Education as Registered Nurse (ideally RN Child or RSCN) or Midwife post‑registration work experience.
  • Awareness, understanding and an appetite to support clinical research delivery across Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Duties

  • Recruitment, education and monitoring of research participants and the collection and documentation of accurate data.
  • Responsible for assessing and managing the care pathways for patients and carers participating in clinical trials.
  • Deliver skilled, independent care to research participants, including patients and healthy volunteers.
  • Coordinate patient journeys through complex clinical trials, including CTIMPs, ensuring protocol‑driven investigations and tests are organised.
