Permanent position within our friendly pharmacy department for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Pharmacy Technician.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the preparation of CIVAs, cytotoxic medicine and TPN in the aseptic unit.
- Assist in ensuring the cleaning and monitoring of the suite is maintained at an appropriate level.
- Contribute to the dispensing of prescription items for in-patients, some out-patients and discharge requests in the dispensary.
- Provide support to the medicines management service including patient own drug usage schemes.
- Monthly rotation with Dispensary and Aseptics, along with Medicines Management and ward cover when necessary.
Qualifications & Training
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Accuracy Checking Qualification, or willing to work towards the qualification.
Essential Experience
- Worked as a technician or trainee technician in a pharmacy.
Desirable Experience
- Hospital Pharmacy experience.
- IT qualification.
- Aseptic training.
- Ward pharmacy services.
- Paediatric pharmacy experience.
- Accuracy checking.
- Used to using CMM pharmacy system.
