Let’s be honest: most AI jobs right now are boring AF. We’re told this is a once-in-a-generation shift. A technology that will redefine how society works. And yet—what do most roles actually involve? More SaaS. Different wrapper. Same outcomes. Bigger profits at the top, while everyday digital experiences get worse. And somehow, we’re meant to call that progress. But there are exceptions. I’ve just partnered with a seed-stage startup doing something genuinely different: putting AI into the hands of local government teams—helping them deliver real-world infrastructure faster and more effectively. We’re talking housing. Roads. Hospitals. Energy systems. Not dashboards. Not vanity metrics. Actual impact.
They’re looking for a Founding Engineer. Full-Stack with experience in agentic workflows. You’ll be:
- Building AI-powered systems that support government planning at a local level
- Writing software that helps real-world projects get built
Must-haves:
- Full Stack Typescript with React
- Built production AI before
- Product mindset. You will work directly with your users
Salary: Up to ÂŁ110 000 + Equity of course
Working practices: London-based people work at least one day a week in the office. People who are further afield can come in once every other week.
