VP of People – Scaling Tech Energy Business

Our client is looking for a VP of People to develop its People function in a fast-paced, scaling environment. As the organisation continues to expand, a strategic leader is required to shape and execute a People strategy that drives culture, engagement, and performance at scale.

The Growth Story:

Two years ago, the company had under 100 million in revenue with 150 employees. Today, it has scaled to Β£325m in revenue and 300 employees. To meet this demand, the People function is evolving to become strategic, data-driven, and commercially astute team.

The Role:

The VP of People will be responsible for executing a high-impact People strategy, developing a high-performing team, and fostering an environment where employees thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership – Develop and implement a People strategy that supports growth, aligns with business goals, and enhances the employee experience.
  2. Scaling & Transformation – Build and develop a high-performing People team, ensuring the right structures, processes, and tools are in place to scale effectively.
  3. Culture & Engagement – Champion a progressive, inclusive, and high-performance culture where employees feel empowered.
  4. Data & Insights – Leverage HR data to drive decision-making, optimise processes, and influence business strategies.
  5. European Expansion – Oversee People operations across multiple locations, ensuring compliance and best practices in talent management.

Key Requirements:

  1. Proven leadership experience in scaling and leading People functions in high-growth environments.
  2. Business-aligned mindset, with a deep understanding of how People strategy drives company success.
  3. Change & transformation expertise, with a strong track record in optimising HR operations and implementing new ways of working.
  4. Data-driven approach, using insights to shape decisions, measure impact, and continuously improve.
