Learning & Development Manager – High-Growth Tech Energy Business π
Our client a fast-growing organisation is looking for a Learning & Development Manager to build and lead its L&D function, shaping development programmes from the ground up.
This is an opportunity to own the function, drive impactful learning initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous development.
The Growth Story:
Two years ago, the business had a sub 100m turnover and 140 employees. Today, it has scaled to Β£325m in revenue and 300 employees.
To support this rapid growth, the People function is evolving to become strategic, data-driven, and business-aligned and L&D plays a key role in this transformation.
The Role:
Reporting to the VP of People, this newly created position provides the opportunity to design, implement, and evaluate learning programmes that enhance employee skills, support career growth, and drive business success.
The role also includes overseeing technical training for field engineers, ensuring compliance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
β Programme Design & Delivery β Develop and facilitate learning programmes, including onboarding, leadership, management, and soft skills training.
β Onboarding Framework β Implement a structured onboarding framework to ensure all employees, including field engineers, have a strong start.
β Learning Technology β Launch and manage a new Learning Management System (LMS), using data insights to drive continuous improvement.
β Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement β Work closely with People Partners and managers to identify skill gaps and align development initiatives with business needs.
β Learning Culture β Champion a culture of continuous learning, developing e-learning content and blended learning experiences to maximise engagement.
Key Requirements:
β L&D expertise β Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating learning programmes.
β Facilitation & Communication β A warm, engaging delivery style, using storytelling and interactive techniques to engage diverse audiences.
β Data-Driven Approach β Experience using LMS and analytics to measure impact and improve learning initiatives.
β Creative Problem-Solving β Innovative in designing learning solutions that inspire growth and career development.
β Project Management β Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple learning initiatives and deliver high-quality programmes.
