We are seeking a Head of Talent to shape and lead this leading deeptech AI company’s hiring strategy as it continues to scale across the Globe. This is a pivotal role for a strategic yet hands-on talent leader who thrives in high-growth, high-impact environments. You’ll partner directly with the executive team to build a world-class talent engine, drive organisational design, and elevate the company’s reputation as a destination for A-player talent in deep tech.
Responsibilities:
- Design and lead a full-spectrum talent strategy, covering executive, technical, and operational hiring.
- Build scalable, data-informed recruitment processes that enable pace without compromising quality or cultural alignment.
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organisational design, and long-term capability building.
- Define and measure talent density; set the bar for performance and potential across teams.
- Act as the guardian of culture, embedding psychological safety, feedback, and deep care throughout the employee experience.
- Strengthen employer brand and market presence, representing the business externally to attract high-calibre and mission-aligned candidates.
- Use market intelligence and strategic insight to inform hiring decisions and influence business direction.
- Advise and coach senior leaders on people strategy, leadership development, and team scalability.
Requirements:
- 8+ years in senior talent acquisition or people leadership roles, ideally within high-growth deep tech, engineering, or AI.
- Proven success building high-performing, diverse teams in competitive and complex markets.
- Experience working closely with founders, investors, and senior leadership in venture-backed environments.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, coupled with strong operational rigour and delivery mindset.
- Deep understanding of technical talent markets across the UK and Europe.
- Credibility and influence to operate at board level while remaining hands-on.
