Senior People Partner - Series C Fintech - Commercial

What You’ll Be Doing:
Partner with UK commercial leaders and managers on the people priorities that will help their teams perform, develop and scale.
- Act as a trusted first point of contact for managers and employees, providing practical, high-quality support across day-to-day people matters.
- Coach managers to set clear expectations, give effective feedback, address underperformance and lead their teams with confidence.
- Manage employee relations cases end-to-end, including performance, absence, disciplinaries and grievances, applying sound judgement and UK employment law to reach fair and pragmatic outcomes.
- Support the delivery of core people cycles across the UK commercial organisation, including performance reviews, compensation, talent and engagement.
- Use people and commercial data to identify trends, diagnose problems and translate insight into clear actions for leaders.
- Support workforce and organisational planning, helping leaders make effective decisions around team structure, capability and headcount as the organisation scales.
- Identify high-potential talent and future leaders, supporting development and succession planning across critical commercial roles.
- Partner closely with the Talent team to ensure the organisation continues to attract and hire high-quality commercial talent.
- Help improve how commercial teams are onboarded, developed and retained, taking ownership of projects that strengthen capability and employee experience.
- Partner with Finance, Reward, Sales Operations and other teams to ensure headcount, organisational structures and incentives support commercial objectives.
- Champion a high-performance culture and help create an environment where people can do their best work.
- Contribute to wider People initiatives and share best practice across the broader People function.
What We’re Looking For:
- A strong operator who takes ownership, works at pace and turns ideas into action.
- Experience within a People Partner, HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or similar generalist role, with the appetite to take on greater ownership and scope.
- Comfortable working directly with managers and employees and able to build credibility quickly across different levels of an organisation.
- Strong employee relations experience and a good working knowledge of UK employment law.
- A solid understanding of performance management and the confidence to support managers through challenging performance and people issues.
- Commercially minded, with an interest in understanding how the business operates and connecting people decisions to commercial outcomes.
- Analytical and comfortable using data to understand problems, challenge assumptions and support better decision-making.
- Strong judgement, with the ability to balance empathy for individuals with what is right for the team and wider organisation.
- Comfortable operating within fast-moving, ambitious and sometimes ambiguous environments.
- Collaborative and low ego, while confident enough to challenge leaders constructively when required.
- Ambitious, curious and eager to develop. You do not need to have done everything before, but you should demonstrate strong learning agility, potential and the ability to execute.
