This role will be within ourMetering team , youll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, we provide efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity and water meters.

What will you be doing?
As an engineer, you will form part of our Metering team that provides a wide range of services from Smart installation\’s, Investigating non-communicating smart meters and , emergency and maintenance appointments on behalf of EON, OVO, EDF and our expanding client portfolio . You\’ll have health and safety at the heart of everything you do! Do you want extra training to make sure your knowledge is up to scratch and enhance your skills in the industry? Your onboarding journey will make sure you are prepped and ready to be an ambassador for health and safety!
Customer service is our top priority. You\’ll make sure that all jobs are completed on time and our customers are provided In depth explanations of the benefits and safe usage of their new meter .Youll also be responding to emergencies, restoring power or gas when customers need it the most.
What Youll Bring
- Valid UK driving licence
- You must have held your licence for 1 year and have less than 6 points.
- Do you have a CCN1 / CMA1, or hold an NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel?
- Been you been gas safe registered for a minimum of 6 months.
Whats in it for you?
Do you currently work in the Gas industry and looking to move into smart metering? Here at M Group we have a fantastic opportunity for individuals who currently hold their core gas qualifications who are looking to kick start a new, successful career in the Smart Metering Industry.
If successful you will join on our bespoke training programme for 11 weeks to learn how to install smart meters.
Once you are fully trained, you will join our Engineers in the field and will be primarily responsible for the safe installation, maintenance and removal of smart meters (SMETS2) in domestic properties, whilst also responding to any ongoing maintenance or emergency appointments. We strive to provide excellent customer service to our customers ensuring they are well informed on the benefits and safe usage of their new smart meter.
We will upskill you further by providing you with your Gas metering qualification, MET1. Whilst in the training programme (11 weeks) you will receive a competitive salary of £26,924 per annum (Depending on your location) , which will subsequently rise to £37,823-£40,974 (Depending on your location)when signed off from the training programme.

- Dual Fuel – £37,823 plus £2k attendance and safety bonus per annum for full time roles(if based outside the M25*)
- Dual Fuel (3 phase/CT) – £38,873 plus £2k attendance and safety bonus per annum for full time roles(if based outside the M25*)
- Dual Fuel – £40,974 plus £2k attendance and safety bonus per annum for full time roles(if based inside the M25*)
- Dual Fuel (3 phase/CT) – £42,025 plus £2k attendance and safety bonus per annum for full time roles(if based inside the M25*)

In addition, this role offers;
- £2000 per year safety and attendance bonus split payment every 6 months On target earnings of up to £50k+
