Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Wastewater modeller in our rapidly growing Scotland region. At AECOM, we’re at the forefront of innovation, delivering an exceptional portfolio of water programmes and projects through long-term partnerships with key clients, including contractors, charities and water companies.

In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality wastewater modelling projects while developing your technical and professional skills within an experienced team. AECOM has recently been named preferred bidder for one of two Primary Designers for Scottish Water’s SR27 Enterprise. This transformational, multi-billion-pound programme will reshape Scotland’s water and wastewater infrastructure from 2027 to 2033 (with potential extension). As part of this programme, you will contribute to impactful projects and collaborate with a talented, multidisciplinary team, gaining valuable experience across a wide range of modelling and engineering activities.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Support the delivery of wastewater modelling projects under supervision of senior engineers.
  • Assist with model build, calibration, and verification using industry-standard software.
  • Contribute to data analysis, reporting, and technical documentation.
  • Assist in optioneering and assessment of design solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, including field and design teams.
  • Support Health & Safety processes, including risk assessments where required.
  • Participate in project meetings and assist with progress reporting.
  • Learn to work within project budgets and programme constraints.
  • Develop technical skills through on-the-job learning and training.
