Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Civil Engineer in our rapidly growing Glasgow office – whilst also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model. AECOM has recently been named preferred bidder for one of two Primary Designers for Scottish Water’s SR27 Enterprise. This transformational, multi-billion-pound programme is the highest value venture ever put into place by Scottish Water and will reshape Scotland’s water and wastewater infrastructure from 2027 to 2033 (with potential to extend for another 6 years). AECOM will be at the heart of this ground-breaking delivery model, shaping design excellence at scale and working with Scottish Water and our Enterprise Partners to help drive outcomes that deliver value for customers in Scotland and go beyond net zero. This is a major win for AECOM and a powerful endorsement of our expertise, giving us a fantastic opportunity to deliver long-term, meaningful work that has large scale impact for communities across Scotland.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Design Excellence - Produce high-quality design work that meets client requirements and industry standards.
  • Project Management Awareness - Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
  • Quality Assurance - Take responsibility for ensuring all work is delivered to a high standard through thorough reviews and checks to maintain quality and accuracy.
  • Team Collaboration and Communication - Act as an effective team player by contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment while communicating effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental (SHE) Compliance - Develop Design Risk Assessments and Project SHE Plans to ensure safety and environmental considerations are integrated into all project phases.
