Are you ready to support and help lead a team of talented engineers and shape the future of the water industry? Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Principal Civil Engineer in one of our rapidly growing Scotland offices – Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness or Perth – whilst also utilising our flexible hybrid working model.
Responsibilities
- Lead project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes that meet client expectations.
- Manage design scope to ensure projects are delivered within budget and programme constraints.
Technical Expertise
- Demonstrate strong technical understanding and maintain awareness of current industry practices and innovations.
- Lead the quality assurance process for project deliverables, ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements.
Team Development
- Play a lead role in the development and management of design teams in the Perth office, while collaborating with colleagues across the UK and Ireland.
- Develop and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a strong communicator, capable of effectively engaging with multiple project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and external partners.
Health & Safety Leadership
- Possess a strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation.
- Actively embed a safety-first culture within your area of responsibility, ensuring compliance and promoting best practices.
