The predicted salary is between 1300 - 1600 £ per month.
The Camp staff team consists of counselors, facilitators, and a leadership team, all working together to create and implement the Camp program and contribute to a harmonious environment. The role of the Dialogue Coordinator at Camp is to outline a dialogue curriculum specifically for our youth campers, and then hire, train and manage the team of Dialogue Facilitators on Camp in implementing this curriculum.
As a member of the Camp leadership team, the Dialogue Coordinator will help hire, train, and support the team of dialogue facilitators before Camp. This will represent a part-time role in the months leading up to Camp (up to 15 hrs/week), and then standard Camp hours during Camp. The anticipated start date for this role is March 2026.
Main pre-Camp responsibilities- Review Seeds of Peace dialogue methodologies and practices to design and create a specific dialogue curriculum.
- Develop and finalize all dialogue facilitator training materials (manuals, presentations, activity guides).
- Assist in the hiring process for dialogue facilitators, including reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, and making selections together with the Camp Director.
- Train the dialogue facilitation staff in the core principles of dialogue facilitation and in the dialogue curriculum. This training will begin online before Camp begins and continue during staff orientation at Camp.
- Design on-site staff training activities for Camp-wide staff.
- Establish a clear communication channel and schedule with the dialogue facilitators to build team cohesion and share pre-Camp reading/prep materials.
- Review and provide input to the Camp leadership team on facilitator pairings and dialogue groups.
- Conduct on-site staff training activities for camp-wide staff.
- Managing and supporting the team of dialogue facilitators during camp.
- Give feedback to staff on their job performance.
- Serve as a member of the Camp leadership team in overseeing all of residential and programmatic elements of Camp and ensure camper safety in all aspects of Camp life.
- Contribute to an atmosphere of communication, trust, and respect.
- Work with the residential life team (Residential Life Coordinator and counselors) in all aspects of Camp coordination, including camper supervision and program support.
- Adhere to all Seeds of Peace policies and procedures to create a Camp environment that is physically and emotionally safe.
- Commit to professionalism in an informal educational space.
- After Camp, write a program report which captures the successes and recommendations for the dialogue program.
- Spoken and written fluency in English.
- Significant experience in working with young people in education, peacebuilding, or similar.
- Significant experience in facilitating dialogue settings with young people.
- Experience in training and managing adults in an educational environment.
- Commitment to professionalism in an informal educational space.
- Ability to draft program reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

This position is residential, meaning meals and accommodation are provided during Camp and staff training. Furthermore, the expense of travel to and from Camp and the cost of visa application fees (if applicable) are covered by Seeds of Peace. All staff are required to commit to the full duration of the session (July 18 to August 10), and participate in a mandatory staff training held both online before Camp and in person at Camp from July 10-17.
