Who we are
Seedling is a Bath-based startup helping SMEs take meaningful climate action towards net zero. Our platform makes carbon measurement, reduction and reporting simple, practical and effective – backed by real human expertise.
After a successful SEIS raise and a 250+ strong client portfolio, this is an exciting stage of growth. We’re looking for someone who wants to own a big piece of the marketing engine, with the freedom to experiment, the trust to make decisions, and the support to learn as you go.
The role
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager & Growth Strategist to build Seedling’s voice, trust and visibility. You’ll own our LinkedIn presence for both the founder and company accounts, creating content that educates, empathises, and earns trust. That might mean capturing a client win as a short post, unpacking insights from a sales call into a blog, or shaping a founder’s idea into something sharp, value-led and shareable.
You’ll manage our mailing list for clients and prospects, keeping it alive with thoughtful updates and practical content. You’ll also be at the centre of our go-to-market activity, helping to launch new features, partnerships and offers with the right stories, channels and messaging.
Beyond content, you’ll think strategically about the buyer journey: where our ICP spends time, what touchpoints build trust, and how we can show up in those spaces. That could mean co-marketing with membership groups, running webinars/roundtables with partners, or creating the right visibility at just the right moment.
You’ll be the person who makes sure our wins don’t go unnoticed – gathering testimonials and case studies, managing profiles like Trustpilot and Capterra, and turning happy customers into visible advocates.
You won’t be doing this alone; we already work with partners on SEO, paid ads and outbound. Your role is to guide, brief, and connect the dots, using automation and AI where it makes sense, but never at the expense of authenticity or customer perspective. Above all, you’ll track what’s working, adapt fast, and always be looking for the next smart way to grow.
What makes you the right person
If you feel excited by what you’ve read so far, and have the experience to back it up; you might just be the right person.
As a baseline, we’d expect you to have 2-4 years’ B2B SaaS marketing experience, ideally in a startup/scaleup. Beyond just textbook marketing, you’ll also need a strategic mindset, with the willingness to think creatively about how we can grow. This is a true early-stage startup, so you’ll be proactive, entrepreneurial and self-motivated – but thrive on collaboration and feedback.
Why you’ll love it here
- A meaningful role: your work helps SMEs take real climate action
- Full ownership: from shaping strategy to executing it, you’ll be trusted to run with ideas
- Huge learning opportunity: working closely with the founders in a high-trust, pro-learning culture
- Not siloed: you’ll be involved in product, partnerships and customer conversations too
- Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, private health through Vitality, pension, weekly drinks, monthly meals and more – all from our central Bath office just off Pulteney Bridge
If you’re excited about building something meaningful, love creating content that drives growth, and want a role where you’ll learn fast and make a difference, Seedling would love to hear from you.
