About The Role
We're looking for a hands-on HR Advisor to join us in a broad, generalist role with real ownership across employee relations, manager support and day-to-day HR delivery. You'll be the go-to person for HR queries, working closely with the Head of HR to ensure consistent, fair and pragmatic people decisions across the business. You'll play a key role in supporting managers, navigating people challenges, and helping shape how HR operates as we continue to grow. This role suits someone who enjoys being close to the business, is confident handling people matters, and wants to have genuine impact in a fast-paced, scale-up environment. This role is primarily remote, with occasional visits to the London office a few times per year for team collaboration.
About The Team
You'll be joining a lean HR function, working directly with the Head of HR. This means real exposure, autonomy, and the opportunity to get involved across the full employee lifecycle, not just a narrow remit. It's a hands-on role where you'll build strong relationships across the business and have the chance to shape processes, improve ways of working, and make a visible difference.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Employee Relations
- Manage a caseload of ER matters (absence, performance, conduct)
- Provide practical, commercially focused HR advice to managers
- Draft clear, accurate documentation (letters, outcomes, processes)
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases appropriately
- Ensure fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes
- Manager Support
- Partner with managers on day-to-day people queries
- Support performance management (informal and formal)
- Guide decision-making and build manager confidence
- Help embed consistent, pragmatic HR practices
- HR Operations
- Support onboarding and offboarding
- Maintain accurate employee data and documentation
- Benefits administration
- Contribute to improving HR processes and efficiency
- Policies & Compliance
- Apply policies consistently across the business
- Support updates in line with legislation and business needs
- Stay up to date with employment law and best practice
Requirements
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a generalist HR or HR Advisor role
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and ER processes
- Confident handling challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset
- Experience using an HR system (HRIS) in a hands-on capacity
- Right to work in the UK
Nice to Have:
- Experience in a scale-up or tech environment
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience)
Benefits
Share options: the option to buy shares in SeedLegals via our performance-based share option scheme
Contributory pension, private healthcare, critical illness cover + life insurance
25 days annual leave + bank holidays + your birthday off
Buy and sell annual leave scheme
Flexible working - hybrid/remote model with London office access

£250 working-from-home allowance to set up your home office
Annual learning budget for training courses, conferences and books
3 paid work days per year for volunteering
