About the Role
We are seeking a Skilled Technician – Plasterer to join our Fire & Flood team, based in Swindon and surrounding areas. This role involves the delivery of plastering works ranging from minor repairs through to full reinstatement and finishing works within domestic and commercial restoration projects. You will work on diverse projects, providing high‑quality plastering expertise and ensuring all work meets our stringent standards for surface quality and finishes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced plasterer to deliver quality work on varied restoration projects within a supportive and growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Application of internal plaster finishes including skimming and patch plastering
- Drylining and plasterboard installation
- Repair of damaged walls and ceilings following water or fire damage
- Application of bonding, undercoats, and finishing coats
- Ceiling repairs including overboarding and re-skimming
- Making good and blending new works with existing finishes
- Preparation of surfaces prior to plastering
- Coordination with other trades during reinstatement works
- Execution of minor patch and repair works
- Room or area reinstatement plastering works
- Full property plastering works
- Working within occupied properties in a professional and courteous manner
- Working to agreed programmes and deadlines
- Compliance with health and safety requirements on site
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- NVQ Level 2 in Plastering or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Understanding of plastering techniques and materials
- Ability to achieve high‑quality finishes and surface consistency
- Knowledge of drying times and environmental considerations
- Awareness of water damage implications in restoration environments
