SEED Environmental, part of the Celnor Group, is a leading provider of environmental incident response, remediation and restoration services. Based in Preston, the role is permanent and site‑based with potential nationwide travel.
About the Role
This role is part of the CTSL team and involves building work on oil‑contaminated residential properties across the UK. The successful candidate will perform both internal and external remediation works, read plans and drawings, and work as part of a versatile team in challenging environments and tight time‑constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of building work on oil‑contaminated residential properties including:
- Removing contaminated soils, brickwork and internal floors
- Underpinning and installing new damp proof courses (DPC)
- Re‑building brickwork and blockwork
- Patch plastering and drainage works
- General joinery and carpentry tasks
- Perform both internal and external remediation works to high standards
- Work as part of a team in challenging environments with tight time constraints
- Read, understand and work from plans and drawings
- Maintain a clean, tidy and respectful working environment
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and colleagues
- Travel nationwide to project sites and work away from home when required
- Follow health and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE
- Keep accurate records including timesheets and job records
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in joinery, brickwork, plastering, drainage and all aspects of building work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment
- Fitness and motivation to work in an ever‑changing industry
- Ability to read and understand plans and drawings
- Clean, presentable and well‑spoken with strong communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to work away from home and travel nationwide
- Right to work in the UK

- CSCS card
- CPCS certification
- Abrasive wheels certification
- Experience in environmental remediation or contaminated land works
Salary and Benefits
Competitive salary of £35,000 – £40,000 per annum and a comprehensive range of benefits:
