About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Multi‑Skilled Groundworker to join our operations team in Doncaster. This role involves leading a site team for building works, groundworks and remediation, primarily in oil spill incidents at domestic properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Remediation Operatives on site, ensuring their health and safety.
  • Carry out works under the direction of the SEED Contracts Manager and/or Operations Manager.
  • Run projects according to agreed schedules and budgets.
  • Use initiative, skills and knowledge where appropriate.
  • Operate machinery and undertake hand dig excavation works for contamination removal.
  • Coordinate ordering of materials and skips to maintain schedule of works.
  • Collect photographs for comprehensive documentation.
  • Follow health and safety regulations including RAMS documentation.
  • Follow structural engineer's drawings/plans for propping works safely.
  • Enhance skills such as OFTEC works to assist spill response when needed.
  • Respond to emergency spill works outside normal working hours.
  • Ensure sites are kept tidy, clean and safe.
  • Attend training sessions, toolbox talks and team meetings.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role running construction projects on site with an appreciation of health and safety.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good general building knowledge with willingness to learn new skills.
  • Strong organisation and problem‑solving skills.
  • Understanding of project budgets and timelines.
  • Ability to undertake physically demanding tasks.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Positive attitude with motivation to use own initiative.
  • Basic DBS check.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Willingness to work away from home when necessary.

Desirable

  • OFTEC qualifications or experience.
  • Previous experience in oil spill remediation or environmental restoration.
  • Experience supervising and developing team members.
  • Knowledge of structural propping works.
