SeeByte are growing! We are looking for C# skilled Software Developers to join our Edinburgh team. These roles can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis. SeeByte have a collaborative culture and require employees to work at least 60% of the time in the office.
Main purpose of the role: At SeeByte you will be working within an engineering project team to deliver robust and innovative technology solutions to customers worldwide. The role will include, but not be limited to design, development, test and integration of SeeByte’s software solutions. Support, training and development will be offered to enable you to continue to grow within the role and become a software engineering expert, developing exciting uncrewed software systems.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Design, implement, test, and deliver robust C# software solutions
- Deliver work to a high standard whilst proactively identifying and suggesting software improvements
- Help to understand and break down requirements aligned with the needs of our clients.
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience designing, developing and implementing modular software
- Experience working in C# for Windows UI development
- Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with external partners and clients
- Enthusiastic to learn new technology
The following experience would be beneficial but is not essential:
- Experience with modern programming language features (latest C# language version).
- Experience in XAML-based Windows UI development (ideally WPF)
- Experience designing and implementing secure software solutions
- Knowledge of Java
- Experience working within an agile environment, working across the full software development lifecycle
- Experience with automating application deployment and environment configuration management
- Software verification and deployment techniques
- An understanding of defect tracking systems such as GitLab / Jira
- Knowledge of Continuous Delivery frameworks (e.g. Jenkins)
- A degree in Software Engineering, or equivalent, is desirable but not essential
