Role Description

Join Our Team as a Female Specialist Waking Night Support Worker

Location: Redhill, Surrey

Salary: £12.60 per hour (£22,932 per annum) plus benefits.

Hours: 35 hours per week, between 9.30 pm and 7.30 am, Monday to Sunday, on a two-week rolling rota basis.

Contract: Full-time, Permanent.

Driving Requirement: A valid full UK manual driving license is desirable but not essential.

Right To Work: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. No skilled worker visas available.

Essential Criteria

Demonstrate exposure to two of the following areas:

  • Rhizomelic Chondrodysplasia Punctata (RCDP)
  • Autism and Severe Learning Disabilities
  • Physical Disabilities (Wheelchair user)
  • Physical Challenging Behaviour
  • Resilience

What will you be doing?

As a Female Specialist Support Worker, you\’ll make a real difference in someone\’s life, guiding and empowering them to achieve their potential. Your responsibilities include:

  • Daily Care & Support: Personal care, meal prep, medication, and daily tasks.
  • Building Relationships: Understanding needs and supporting independence.
  • Empowering Independence: Assisting with personal goals and encouraging exploration.
  • Social Engagement: Supporting activities and hobbies.
  • Respect & Dignity: Ensuring respectful treatment of individuals and families.

Support Details

The support recipient is a young lady with complex health needs including autism, learning disabilities, and RCDP. She enjoys rollerblading and Christmas music, and requires support with personal care, communication systems, mobility, and emotional well-being. A positive, patient, and resilient attitude is essential.
