Job Overview
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you’ll help people live fuller, more independent lives by:
- Providing care through the night, checking residents at regular intervals according to their care plan.
- Responding promptly to calls for assistance while always respecting the privacy, dignity and choice of the residents.
- Engaging in conversations to help maintain residents’ sense of identity, upholding dignity at all times.
- Keeping clear and accurate records.
- Working closely with colleagues and professionals.
- Being always ready for unannounced spot checks and adhering to all duties and protocols while staying awake.
- Acting on any other ad hoc duties that may arise during the waking night shift.
