SEE Services are recruiting for Testing Engineers located in the Central/Midlands area. SEE Services deliver facilities management and infrastructure support services to organisations across the UK. An exciting and varied role for a Testing Engineer where you will carry out Electrical Condition Reports and the associated remedials plus planned and preventive maintenance of Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting, Fire Extinguishers and PAT testing for a number of commercial clients, including Pubs, Restaurants, High St Shops, Shopping Centres, Hotels etc.
Providing out of hours reactive cover, as part of an on-call Rota.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Test, service and maintain systems and equipment.
- Providing quotation of materials/labour to Line Manager.
- Undertaking preparatory work.
- Inspecting, testing, certifying, and commissioning.
- Identifying and rectifying faults. Excellent problem-solving skills are essential.
- Providing functional and technical information to customers.
- Maintaining effective working relationships with fellow workers.
- Overseeing work activities.
- Be able to follow technical drawings, building plans and other instructions.
- Be able to work carefully, methodically, and safely.
- Be comfortable working at heights and prepared to work in all weather conditions.
- Be presentable with a pleasant manner.
- Have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Be a good team player but also able to work on own initiative.
