This is an exciting opportunity for you to take on the role of a Mentor to aid in the personal and professional development of a mentee at Ishida. Using your own personal experiences and expertise, along with Mentor training and a Mentor toolkit, you will provide assistance to mentees in the development of skills you have experience of, and will also give you the opportunity to develop your own skills in the areas of leadership, communication, coaching and more.

Responsibilities of a Mentor:

  • Attend an internal Mentor training session.
  • Set up an initial meeting with your Mentee.
  • Help your Mentee set professional development goals and an action plan.
  • Regularly meet and review the goals (a minimum of 1 meeting per month).
  • Provide ongoing support for the Mentee.
  • Provide final feedback on the mentoring relationship after 12 months.

Structure of the programme:

  • Apply online - personal information, along with the skills you are able to help a mentee develop.
  • Matched with a Mentee.
  • Set up first meeting - agree goals and actions.
  • Regular contact with Mentee - at least 1 in person or Teams meeting per month.
  • Final meeting after 12 months.
  • Final feedback to Mentor programme coordinator after 12 months.
  • Receive mentor certificate to certify your commitment to professional development at Ishida.
