What is the purpose of the role?
To assemble all manufactured components, sub-assemblies, modification kits, and rectification kits for the company's equipment, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency in line with engineering specifications and company standards.
- Primary responsibilities
- Assemble manufactured components, sub-assemblies, modification kits, and rectification kits in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Interpret and follow engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Ensure all assemblies meet quality standards and product specifications.
- Carry out visual and functional checks during and after assembly.
- Identify and report any defects, shortages, or non-conforming parts.
- Complete rework and rectification activities as instructed.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and correctly.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area in accordance with company health and safety procedures.
- Accurately complete production records and any required documentation.
- Work to production schedules and achieve agreed productivity targets.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Communicate effectively with engineering, production planners, quality, stores, and other departments.
- Assist with stock control by reporting material shortages or damaged components.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company quality procedures and standards.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required to support the manufacturing team.
