The Role
You will own high-impact front-end work: refine core journeys, elevate visual polish, and ship secure, accessible, maintainable experiences. You’ll collaborate across product and engineering, bring evidence-based UX opinions, and see them through to delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design-quality execution: Turn ideas into elegant, accessible interfaces with “AAA” polish.
- Engineering: Build robust components/pages with Next.js, React, TypeScript, focusing on performance and clean, maintainable code.
- Motion & interactivity: Add thoughtful animation with Framer Motion; explore advanced/3D for future prototypes such as avatars.
- Tooling evolution: Propose modern alternatives (e.g., to SurveyJS/AG Grid) and improve developer experience.
- White-label theming: Strengthen Chakra UI theming for multi-client branding.
- Quality & testing: Maintain high Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and write robust unit/integration/E2E tests with Jest & Cypress.
- Agile collaboration: Work within Agile Scrum; contribute to technical planning sessions and estimations.
- Stakeholder communication: Partner with designers, engineers, product, and clients/stakeholders; present solutions, run demos, and gather feedback.
Your skillset
- Proven commercial experience building modern web UIs.
- Proven delivery with React, Next.js, TypeScript.
- Strong UX instincts—you can explain why, not just how.
- Hands-on motion/interaction (Framer Motion or similar).
- Agile Scrum experience, including participation in technical planning/estimation.
- Testing: demonstrable experience building Jest unit/integration suites and Cypress E2E tests.
- Portfolio showcasing beautiful, user-centred, performant work.
- Clear communicator; collaborative, product-thinking mindset.
Nice-to-have
- Three.js or other advanced animation tools.
- Rapid mockups/prototyping in Figma/Sketch/XD.
