The Role
Weâre hiring a frontend-leaning engineer to help build and evolve the Perygon platform. This is a handsâon product engineering role for someone with strong frontend instincts, a sharp eye for UX, and the ability to contribute across the stack when needed.
Youâll spend most of your time building highâquality product experiences in Next.js, React, and TypeScript, while also when required contributing to our NestJS backend services, APIs, and integrations. Weâre looking for someone with at least 2 years of commercial experience, a strong portfolio of shipped work, and good product judgement.
Responsibilities
- Build polished, responsive, userâfocused features in Next.js, React, and TypeScript
- Turn product requirements and UX ideas into clean, productionâready interfaces
- Contribute to backend development in NestJS, including APIs, business logic, and service integrations
- Work across frontend and backend boundaries to deliver features end to end
- Improve shared UI patterns, component structure, and design consistency
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to refine requirements and shape solutions
- Participate in sprint planning, standups, estimation, retrospectives, and technical discussions
- Write maintainable, wellâtested code and contribute to code reviews
- Help modernise and migrate functionality from legacy Laravel services into the newer NestJS platform
- Improve performance, accessibility, reliability, and overall product quality
Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required
- Strong frontend skills with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Strong UX instincts and attention to detail
- Experience with theming using modern CSSâinâJS approaches, such as Chakra UI 3 or similar
- Proven track record of delivering highâquality interfaces in real products
- Strong portfolio showcasing shipped work, previous products, or wellâpresented case studies
- Experience building responsive, accessible, and wellâstructured user interfaces
- Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services
- Good understanding of componentâbased architecture, state management, and frontend performance
- Comfortable working in agile teams and contributing to technical discussions, planning, and delivery
- Strong communication skills and a pragmatic, collaborative approach to problemâsolving
- Thoughtful use of LLMs to improve productivity and delivery
