We are looking for a PR volunteer to support the team at SEDSConnective. We advocate and support people with hypermobility, related conditions and those who are neurodivergent; offering resources and promoting awareness.

What are we looking for?
Requirements Experience in a PR role – you will have the ability to build relationships with the media and a full understanding of how journalists and the media operate. Excellent written English and the ability to write to media standard and convention. Self-motivated, proactive and reliable, using your initiative to make things happen. Passion for our vision at SEDSConnective.
What will you be doing?
What the role will look like Build and maintain relationships with journalists and key media. Develop media contacts database using desk research and free tools. Develop media hooks and talking points. Monitor coverage opportunities using your own/free PR tools and software. Monitor the fundraising industry to come up with fresh PR stories and identify trends. Assist with writing for all press releases that will be issued by the charity. Manage the approval process for all press releases. Maintain and update media lists and contact databases. Identify and secure speaker opportunities for our founder. Work closely with trustees to identify new opportunities and increase donations. Work on brand logos and key info that can be given to media. Help us to grow our social media presence and collaborate with the marketing team. Provide assistance with our online blogs. Maintain a calendar of opportunities by partnering with Communications and PR Lead. Hours 3-7 hours per week. You can carry out this voluntary work either in or out of office hours.
