The Role
You’ll take commercial responsibility for one or more live earthworks / remediation schemes, reporting into a Commercial Manager. This is a hands-on commercial role — close to site, close to operations, and involved from award through to final account.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing subcontractor packages and valuations
- Producing CVRs and cost reports
- Variations and change control
- Procurement of materials and specialist subcontractors
- Client applications and payment notices
- Supporting tender pricing where required
- Working closely with Site Managers and Project Managers
You’ll be commercially driving projects, not just reporting numbers.

What They’re Looking For
- QS experience within heavy civils, earthworks or remediation
- Comfortable managing packages with limited supervision
- Understanding of NEC contracts (JCT beneficial depending on scheme)
- Strong commercial awareness with practical site understanding
