Job Overview
As a Domestic Loss Adjuster, you will manage a caseload of domestic property damage claims across Essex. Your work includes visiting customers at home, coordinating contractor visits, and settling claims. You will provide a calming presence during clients' unsettling moments, while compiling comprehensive reports from the office or remotely.
Responsibilities
- Visit claimants’ properties to assess damage.
- Coordinate visits from contractors.
- Investigate and document claim details.
- Negotiate fair settlements with policyholders and insurers.
- Compile and submit detailed claim reports.
- Manage multiple claims simultaneously, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Understanding of home insurance policy operations and domestic property basics.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective time management with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Skills to be Developed
- Comprehensive Sedgwick‑specific training.
- Professional development toward the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters' Cert CILA qualification.
