We have an exciting opportunity for a Director/Associate Director Adjuster to join Sedgwick Construction and Engineering London Market Team. Sedgwick has one of the largest Construction and Engineering teams in the UK, supporting insurers and self‑insured clients with Construction All Risks (CAR), Construction Liability and Engineering claims across a wide range of Construction and Engineering sectors.
We are appointing a Director/Associate Director to strengthen our Construction & Engineering practice within Sedgwick International, contributing at senior level to a growing global proposition that supports complex client and account portfolios. Working as part of our London Market team, the role focuses on the handling of annual contractor policies and project‑specific placements across a diverse range of nominated accounts, requiring sound technical judgement and confident stakeholder engagement.
You will bring demonstrable expertise in a specialist construction adjusting environment, with proven capability in the management of material damage CAR claims and well‑developed knowledge of DSU claims and related policy covers. Alongside technical delivery, this position forms part of the next stage of our strategic growth, partnering with experienced colleagues to drive quality, consistency and market credibility while supporting both personal and collective development within the team.
The skills you will have when you apply:
- Professional Status – ACILA, or working towards chartership, with a relevant building‑related degree preferred but not essential if possessing relevant Construction Adjusting experience.
- Driving Licence – A full UK driving licence is essential.
- Technical Knowledge – Strong knowledge of CAR losses.
- Personal Approach – Responsible and confident in decision‑making, works well with others, and can manage their own workload effectively.
