Play a key role in leading Credit Control operations for our growing Specialty and Aviation business. This is a unique opportunity to support our growing Specialty division, including Aviation, while helping to shape and develop a first-class credit control function.
Working closely with Operational and Finance leadership, you will have the opportunity to influence change, drive improvements, and contribute to the continued success of the business. Based in our Leeds office, with the benefit of flexible hybrid working and occasional travel to other office locations, you will lead a team of seven Credit Controllers responsible for the collection of premiums and fees across the London Market.
You will oversee the management of outstanding debt, ensuring timely settlement of accounts and the accurate allocation of cash, while maintaining strong working relationships with brokers, underwriters, clients and internal stakeholders.
A key part of the role will involve managing premium and fee submissions through the Electronic Claims File (ECF) platform, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and in line with Lloyd's market requirements. You will monitor debt positions, provide meaningful management information, support the resolution of complex account queries, and work with stakeholders to maintain strong collection performance and compliance standards.
The successful candidate will play an important role in identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiencies and support automation initiatives, helping to create a high-performing and future-focused Credit Control function.
- Team Leadership: Experience leading, developing and motivating a team to deliver strong performance and service standards.
- Credit Control & London Market Experience: Strong background in credit control, collections and debt management within the insurance sector, with knowledge of London Market processes.
- ECF & Lloyd's Knowledge: Experience using Electronic Claims File (ECF) systems and a strong understanding of Lloyd's market practices and requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to build effective relationships and confidently engage with brokers, clients, underwriters and senior business leaders.
- Compliance Awareness: Understanding of FCA, Lloyd's and internal regulatory requirements, with a focus on maintaining high standards of governance and control.
- Process Improvement: Experience identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency, performance and reporting.
