Job Type: Full-time (35 hours pw)
About the Role:
Sedgwick Resource Solutions are seeking Multilingual Claims Support Handlers to support our client with their European insurance administration, data and correspondence. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals fluent in either French, Spanish, or German (in addition to English) who have experience in either data analysis, or bordereau processing/familiar with large datasets, and a background in insurance or broking whether this is in claims or from an administration, or sales side.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a specialist team, where you will be 'loaned' out to both internal and external clients to offer your expertise. The opportunity allows successful candidates to enhance their skillset, network with a diverse range of clients, develop knowledge of a variety of systems, and still be supported by your team and Sedgwick. Each assignment typically lasts between 3–12 months, meaning that no two days will ever be the same!
Successful candidates will be employed on a secondment model, meaning you will be assigned to various teams based on business needs. While the assignments are temporary in nature, this is a permanent role, and after one secondment concludes, you will transition to another project within the organisation. For this reason you will need to be comfortable with change and have the ability to adapt based on the current assignment.
This role is fully remote; however, when working with our clients, you may be required to travel to their offices for training (including overnight stays, paid for by the company). You may also be required to attend our offices for meetings and events.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Update information within the claims management system.
- Process payments and recoveries from European offices.
- Correspond with European offices via phone and email.
- Monitor the shared inbox to ensure all outstanding items are addressed promptly.
- Review the Bordereaux Excel list for any incomplete months received from Credit Control and take necessary action.
- Organise and save all documentation received from Credit Control in the appropriate folders.
- Update new claim payments and reserves accurately using previous month templates, ensuring correct alignment with corresponding claims and policies.
- Maintain and update claims and reserves in the SID system.
- Generate monthly reports detailing reserves and claim payments as required.
- Liaise with Credit Control, Underwriters, and Brokers to resolve queries, implement changes, and provide assistance where needed.
- Communicate with senior claim handlers to obtain authorisation for payments when necessary.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Must be Fluent in English and either French, Spanish, or German (spoken and written).
- Experience with bordereaux or large data sets desirable.
- Familiarity with claims management systems or similar platforms.
- Some knowledge of claims, ideally property, casualty, or motor.
- The desire to learn and develop within the insurance industry.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Great attention to detail!
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
Your New Benefits:
- Flexible work options: Enjoy remote working to support your work-life balance.
- Generous Holiday: 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays, with an option to purchase more holidays throughout the year.
- Customisable Flexi-Benefits: Choose benefits that suit your lifestyle.
- Professional Growth: Access training with industry experts and qualifications like Cert CII and BDMA, with financial rewards upon completion.
- Referral Scheme: Earn a financial reward when your referred colleagues complete their probation period successfully.
- Pension Scheme: Self-invested personal pension above the statutory minimum.
- Reward & Recognition: Earn vouchers for popular retailers in categories like retail, dining, and entertainment by sending and receiving 'points' to colleagues within the business.
- Health & Wellbeing: Select from benefits like eyecare vouchers, cycle-to-work schemes, and digital consultations, designed to keep you healthy and supported.
- Green Car Scheme: Lease an electric vehicle with home charge point installation (if required) through our partner supplier.
- Life Assurance: Cover for you, with the option of adding your partner in the event of death while in service, regardless of medical history.
- Critical Illness Cover: Receive a lump sum if diagnosed with conditions like cancer, a heart attack, or stroke.
- Group Income Protection: Cover up to 60% of your salary after six months of incapacity.
All successful candidates will be subject to DBS and vetting checks, and offers of employment will be dependent on these results.
