Sedgwick Resource Solutions are seeking a subsidence building consultant/surveyor to join our clients award-winning Subsidence Services Division, a team recognised for excellence in subsidence claim management.
As a Building Consultant, you will manage a diverse portfolio of domestic and commercial subsidence claims in addition to visiting sites relating to those claims. You will work closely with customers, colleagues and service partners to deliver accurate technical assessments, high-quality reports, and exceptional customer service.
- Manage a portfolio of domestic and commercial subsidence claims through to settlement
- Diagnose causes of building movement (subsidence, heave, landslips, drainage)
- Hold, and attend virtual meetings with customers and stakeholders
- Conduct face-to-face on-site property inspections with customers when required
- Liaise with surveyors, engineers, contractors, loss adjusters and policyholders
- Maintain strong SLA compliance and timely claim progression
- Deliver empathetic, professional communication throughout each claim
Qualifications:
- Chartered construction/building qualification or working towards one
- Experience dealing with subsidence issues working for a loss adjuster, insurance company or specialist contractor
- Strong understanding of structural defects and building/construction pathology
- Familiarity with building and drainage repair techniques
- Valid UK driving licence
- Insurance claims handling experience (training provided if not)
