We have a fantastic opportunity for a Desktop Investigator in the United Kingdom. Home Investigations is a key part of Sedgwick, offering tailored, cost-effective fraud prevention. We don’t use a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, we rely on skilled people to assess potentially fraudulent claims. The work is varied, challenging, and never dull. You’ll manage a caseload of suspect claims for various clients, using video and phone interviews. You may also handle pricing checks, negotiate settlements, issue reports, and explain claim rejections. You’ll lead your investigations, take statements, validate claims, and settle quickly using insurer networks. You’ll use data, tech, and your investigative mindset to detect and prove fraud. The skills you will have when you apply:

  • Proven expertise in Conversation Management and home claims, and a composed, articulate manner under pressure.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry protocols, fraud indicators, and regulatory benchmarks.
  • Proficiency in conducting structured telephone and video interviews to obtain evidential material.
  • Advanced understanding of home insurance policy frameworks and associated documentation.
  • Substantiated experience in fraud detection or managing complex domestic/commercial claims portfolios.
  • Exceptional written communication, with the ability to issue formal challenge, repudiation, and fraud outcome correspondence.
  • Capability to manage complaints within FCA parameters, with relevant qualifications (Cert CILA or Cert CII preferred) and awareness of IFB, IFIG, and IFED referral thresholds.
