We have a new opportunity for a Commercial Claims Handler to join our Focal Point team. An opportunity has arisen in our Commercial division where we deal with desktop property claims for Insurers and MGAs, typically with regard to SME Commercial Combined policies. You will be an integral part of our Commercial claims offering, expertly dealing with claims whilst building and maintaining relationships with the key parties involved.

Successful applicants should have a solid background in commercial property desktop claims handling and a proven track record in delivering exceptional customer service. We will support you every step of the way, providing excellent training to assist you in meeting your full potential. Career progression within the Commercial team is also encouraged for those looking for a future career in loss adjusting.

The role will involve:

  • Working closely with our Commercial Adjusters
  • Developing relationships with our clients
  • Expertly supporting their customers
  • Guiding them through the claims process
  • Arranging site visits where required
  • Producing repair scopes where appropriate (utilising our digital estimating tool)
  • Liaising with suppliers and contractors to bring each claim to a swift and successful outcome

You will have/will be:

  • Excellent customer service skills within an office environment
  • Commercial claims experience is essential
  • Buildings desktop claims experience would be an advantage in addition to some business interruption exposure
  • Proven ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
