Overview
Liability Technical Quality Lead role based in Leeds, UK (hybrid) within our Technical Governance team.
The role combines technical leadership with hands-on claims handling to strengthen quality, consistency, and technical standards across liability claims handling for our TPA business.
You will work with claims teams, leaders, and clients to drive technical improvement, support capability development, and foster a culture of learning, coaching, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical audits, file quality reviews, and case assessments across liability claims handling.
- Identify technical trends, governance risks, and development opportunities to support continuous improvement and operational performance.
- Provide clear coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback to claims colleagues and leadership teams.
- Support design and delivery of technical training, best practice frameworks, and guidance materials across the business.
- Act as a senior technical referral point on complex, litigated, and high-value liability claims matters.
- Manage quality oversight activity across key client accounts while maintaining a small caseload to retain hands-on involvement in claims handling and technical decision making.
- Collaborate with claims teams and clients to shape a culture focused on learning and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Significant liability claims handling experience with strong technical expertise across EL, PL, Products Liability, and property-related claims.
- Experience completing technical audits and quality reviews within a claims environment.
- Strong analytical capability, decision-making skills, and the ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coaching skills, with experience delivering technical feedback and guidance.
- Proven ability to influence technical standards, support capability development, and drive quality improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, and customer outcome requirements relevant to liability claims handling.
