Role Overview

Credit Controller (Part‑Time)

Job Location: Leeds | Job Type: Permanent, part‑time | Remuneration: Competitive salary based on skills, experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Improve debt collection and enhance working capital for the UK business.
  • Manage aged debt (particularly >90 days) to meet DSO targets.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and global clients to manage aged debt effectively.
  • Handle complex issues with confidence, escalating when necessary to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Contribute to innovative processes that improve cash flow and debtor day figures.
  • Manage unallocated cash, ensuring it is kept to a minimum to support credit control efficiency.
  • Work 24 hours per week, following Sedgwick’s UK policy on flexible working.
  • Maintain and improve accurate records in SAP and Excel.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in collections and debt management.
  • Experience in billings and collections, ideally within the insurance industry.
  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Target‑driven ability to meet financial targets and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong self‑motivation, initiative, focus and assertiveness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across various media.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team and support shared goals.
